Since the beginning of the year, more than 800 applications have been received from citizens and legal entities on the provision of land plots in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to journalists by the head of the land management department of the regional executive committee Igor Levenkov.
The head of the department recalled that since the beginning of the year, new legislation on land has come into force in the country. Its nuances were explained to citizens, village councils, district executive committees in advance, therefore, since the beginning of the year, applications for the provision of land plots began to arrive. He also noted that the legislation currently allows you to give land plots to a wide mass of the population. Since the beginning of the year, more than 800 applications have been received from citizens and legal entities on the provision of land plots - for the construction of industrial facilities, residential buildings, personal subsidiary farming, and other purposes.
"The adoption of the law had a certain effect, and citizens, realizing that today there is a chance to get land, began to apply more actively. Our task is to carry out this process promptly. We will try to ensure that citizens have fewer questions about land and to provide as many land plots as possible," Igor Levenkov said.
Last year, during the inventory of lands in the Vitebsk region, about 11 thousand land plots were identified that were used in violation of land legislation. The relevant authorities took response measures, people were notified so that they could legitimize the illegally occupied lands or release them. Most often, in such territories, residents erected buildings or fences without approval, or occupied plots for growing agricultural products. The second stage of the inventory will continue this year.
In general, the department notes a general decrease in citizens' appeals on land use issues. It happens gradually from year to year. "In 2022, thanks to the work of our structural units on the ground and the regional administration, we managed to reduce the number of appeals from citizens. Not much, but this trend is there. We will try in the future to have fewer appeals from citizens, while issues are resolved on the ground," Igor Levenkov stressed. - Appeals mainly relate to land disputes, issues of unauthorized occupation of land plots. As a rule, disputes arise not because of violations of land legislation, but precisely because of the relationship between neighbors. It turns out that the land has nothing to do with it, and the person begins to correspond with the authorities." The head of the department added that last year 122 appeals on land disputes were considered in the region, of which about 4% were at the regional level.
Employees of the Land management and Cartographic and Geodetic Service of Belarus will celebrate their professional holiday on February 21. Today, a meeting was held in Vitebsk, at which the chairman of the State Property Committee Dmitry Matusevich congratulated the specialists of the region, thanked them for their conscientious work, and presented the best of them with diplomas and thanks.
