Belarus President advises manufacturers to rely on own resources

SHKLOV, 7 July (BelTA) – Manufacturers should primarily rely on their own resources instead of expecting state support, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as he visited the newsprint mill in Shklov on 7 July. The head of state stressed that manufacturers should strive to achieve success through improving their profitability, quality of their products and expanding the area of sales. “I don’t promise any support to anyone,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. “State support is an exceptional case. We will lend a shoulder where we can but one should rely on their own resources first of all,” added the Belarusian head of state. Alexander Lukashenko also remarked that for the current five-year plan the country will primarily focus on using local resources, including renewable energy sources.
